A Financial & Project Accountant is required by a pioneering Mobile Telecoms organisation. The Financial & Project Accountant will be focusing on the accounting, controls & processes to manage & implement project change effectively through the finance team. The Financial & Project Accountant will have a key role in ensuring the businesses finance team deliver quality financial information and also liaising with the finance stakeholders. It requires a motivated and experienced accountant who can work using initiative, who is a good communicator across all stakeholders and is happy to work in the detail as well as see the wider picture. Other key areas of the role include: Financial Accounting - Correct application of Financial Accounting policy and process (including balance sheet reconciliations). Ensuring optimal finance system configuration and use and ongoing finance support to all users across the business. Managing the external audit process to ensure no adjustments and preparation of the annual statutory accounts. Finance Projects: review overall finance implementation on new projects, Implementation of all finance process, control, reporting and commercial / business support for new projects and also running the IFRS16 Leasing accounting standard implementation project. Specialist Finance: Overall responsibility for tax - overseeing preparation and filing of the businesses corporate and other tax returns and for all aspects of VAT administration. Overall responsibility for company insurances - negotiation, approval and renewal of all Company insurance policies on a timely basis. Ensuring other ad-hoc support including employee tax compliance and expenses policy provided to the business. Candidates will be a qualified Accountant with experience ideally gained within a Mobile Telecoms or similar environment. Strong financial and management accounting knowledge and experience. Understanding of operational finance process and control. Prior experience of driving finance system improvements and have experience with project work to implement / configure finance systems Additional experience includes, being adaptable & flexible - able to deal with multiple priorities and continual change. The ability to manage stakeholders - across finance, wider business, shareholders and external advisors Driven to deliver successful outcomes quickly - making an impact and using strong influencing skills with colleagues.
