Financial Accountant Slough Reporting to: Director of Finance This is a vacancy to work within the Finance Department in the only dual qualified, single branded accountancy and law practice in England. Based in the heart of the Thames Valley the successful candidate will work as part of the busy finance team reporting to the Director of Finance. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of: - Preparing management accounts including journal preparation and posting - Preparing and managing budgets and analysing variances between actual and budget; - Preparing and filing VAT and EC sales list returns; - Bank and balance sheet reconciliations; - Creating and managing cash flow and balance sheet forecasts - Producing ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis The ideal candidate should be at an advanced level with Excel - able to create formulas, look up tables, graphs, charts and pivot tables. Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential. Must be able to work under their own initiative and take responsibility for prioritising and completing their work in order to meet strict deadlines. With a minimum of 3-5 years' experience within a similar role. Ideally someone AAT qualified or part ACA/ACCA qualified' The organisation uses SAGE payroll, IRIS Practice Software and Exchequer & Xero Accounting packages - experience of using any of these would be an advantage.
