Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time, permanent Principal Teacher in the ASN Outreach Service. This post is based in Stirling Council's ASN Outreach Service. ASN Outreach Service are a team of peripatetic teachers working with children and young people aged 0-18 with identified additional support needs. The role of the Principal Teacher involves supporting early years establishments, primary and secondary schools throughout Stirling with any identified issues or developments in relation to meeting the needs of children and young people with additional support needs. Support may take the form of mentoring, providing assessment, training and advice. The Principal Teacher works closely with educational establishment staff to build their capacity to support their pupils with ASN. The Principal Teacher contributes significantly to staff development both within the ASN Outreach Service and as part of the ASN staff development programme centrally, in specified learning communities or educational establishments. The successful candidate will be based at Raploch Community Campus in Stirling and will travel to nursery, primary and secondary schools within the Stirling Council area on a daily basis.
