My client is a multidisciplinary consultancy in search of an OHL Senior Engineer to join their team for a UK wide opportunity. This outstanding role will offer you the chance to work with the leading global Design & Consultancy firm for natural and built assets in delivering exceptional outcomes to clients in over 70 countries. Experience: - Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering - Chartered Engineer - Experience of computer based calculation packages - Prepare studies, designs, reports and tender/contract documentation to be carried out in accordance with relevant codes of practice - Provide reviews of submissions from contractors and review reports - PLS CADD experience is essential - Establish test procedures and plant and equipment manufacture and installation programmes - Assist in the preparation of bids and tenders, including contract negotiations - Investigate breakdowns, failures and designs and carry out special investigations - Proven ability of working with internal and external parties, eg. equipment suppliers, manufacturers, service providers and professional bodies - Be willing to travel, either overseas or within the UK to carry out project requirements and develop working relationships quickly and effectively Key Responsibilities: - Agree customer's specifications and agree design requirements - Design safe systems, defined as the integrated structure/overhead line, so that they meet customer requests - Provide calculations and reports to justify design results - Work in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design - Be familiar with relevant H & S regulations, and risk and CDM management - Perform activities associated with projects (investigation, analysis and design) in line with project requirements - Gain awareness of the commercial aspects of projects and review completed engineering work to ensure accuracy Additional Responsibilities: - Provide direction and technical advice to team members to ensure they understand the requirements of the project - Deliver safe designs, minimise change and uncertainty during the construction stage - Reduce costs and programme through innovative design - Provide technical expertise to offer alternative solutions compared with those already used by the client This role offers a competitive salary along with a range of company benefits and career development.
