We have a new opportunity for a worldwide manufacturing company with a very strong reputation. They are a great business to work for and this is a great opportunity to become an Applications Engineer at one of their distribution warehouses. This role will see you reporting directly to the Technical Manager and require an organised and experienced individual.
The role itself will entail providing technical support to External Sales Personnel, the Customer Service Department, Suppliers and Customers themselves. This will involve liaising with suppliers on technical matters and providing solutions to any enquiries they have. This will be on a selection of equipment such as fans, controllers and accessories, so you will need to dedicate yourself to learning all products in detail. As well as this, you will compile and transmit customer quotations and selections to ensure the process runs smoothly. This will also require you to co-ordinate internal warranty claims, so someone who is confident with multi tasking is essential for the role. You will also be updated with technical information from the Parent Company, and will be responsible for being able to advise others of these updates. There will be many other duties you will attend to, however these are the primary ones you will complete on a frequent basis.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have a background within Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, to ensure you are familiar with the equipment and processes that come with this environment. It is a preference this experience is working with fan technology, however this is not essential. It is also a strong preference of our client that you have a qualification in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering. Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have good numeracy and literacy skills and also be computer literate and confident with Microsoft Office applications. You will also need to be a car driver to be progressed in your application.
In return, you will be rewarded with an annual salary of £25,000 to £30,000 dependent on your previous experience and there is also a bonus scheme based on company success. You can also expect Holiday Entitlement and Pension Scheme which the company do contribute to, as well as an enjoyable and friendly working environment. This will be a 40 hour working week with early finishes on Fridays!
