Role: Senior C#.Net, Restful Services, API Developer - Bath Package: Up to £60K & Excellent Benefits My client delivers Digital Solutions within the Public Sector and requires a Senior .Net Developer to work in an Agile delivery team. The client have been engaged to undertake a technology refresh of the .NET/Microsoft application stack to use Web API / AngularJS, and develop specific enhancements to the existing services. You will be required to troubleshoot a production environment and liaise directly with the customer. It's important that you are familiar with working in this way, working directly with clients and minimal supervision. There are also regular new additions to the existing sites which require estimation exercises, planning, delivering the work including being involved in the entire software development lifecycle. You will liaise with testers, managers, SysOps and will be expected to manage and prioritize your own workload. Key Skills: - C# .NET (4+) essential - Web Api 2+ and Restful services essential - Can demonstrate knowledge and application of common Design Patterns - Experience using any IoC (Windsor, StructureMap, Ninject, Autofac etc) essential - TDD experience essential - IIS 8 essential - SQL Server 2005 or later essential - Visual Studio 2013 or later essential - AngularJS would be a big advantage but not absolutely essential (but then must have good experience with e.g. Knockout, Backbone or similar) - Git very beneficial (although experience with Mercurial will suffice) - ASP.NET Webforms experience is beneficial - SOAP web services experience is beneficial - JQuery beneficial - Continuous Integration (TeamCity etc) beneficial - Having a 'problem solving' mindset - the ability to methodically work through a problem and ask the right questions to reach an understanding - A demonstrable trait of having been enthused by technology from an early age - An excellent communicator, able to liaise with client representatives and colleagues alike - Experience working in a team using agile project management methodologies (e.g. Scrum) - Experience using agile development methodologies (BDD etc) - A "can-do" proactive attitude - A desire to better one's self and look to innovate within the team for the good of the company - Able to work alone or in teams of other developers We are an Employment Business and an Employment Agency as defined within The Conduct of Employment Agencies & Employment Businesses Regulations 2003
