The Role: Do you need a new challenge? Do you want an exciting and varied role? We are looking for a confident and experienced Office Manager to be responsible for the day to day management of the retail administration team and the ever changing logistical management of our Charity Retail sector. This involves implementing, managing and maintaining systems and procedures which ensure the Retail Office functions efficiently and effectively and in a business-like manner. Who we are looking for: We are seeking to recruit an organised and efficient Office Manager, with the confidence and experience to deputise for the Retail Logistics Manager in his absence and operate in a manner which reflects the ethos of Helen and Douglas House. The successful applicant will have: Essential - Qualification in Business administration at level 4 or above, or demonstrable equivalent experience. - Have a sound background in secretarial and administrative duties - Significant previous experience in an office manager role or senior administrative role. - Significant previous experience of managing administrative systems and processes. - Experience of working with a range of administrative systems, to manage, collate and report on the data. - Experience of managing and developing a team. - Be able to prioritise - Have excellent administrative and customer service skills - Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including an impeccable telephone manner - Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook - Exceptional Customer Service skills - Have commitment and a conscientious approach to work - Have a proven reliability, excellent time keeping and attendance record - Have the self-confidence and self-reliance to undertake the role - Be able to work under pressure - Be flexible and capable of using initiative, tact and discretion - Be confidential - The post holder must be able to drive in order to discharge the duties of the role. Desirable - - Shorthand and minute taking qualification The Charity: Helen & Douglas House cares for terminally ill children, young adults and their families through exceptional hospice care. We provide medical, emotional and practical support, helping families deal with the implications of living with a child who will die prematurely, so they can make the most of their time together.
