Internal Sales Engineer - £20,000 - £22,000 depending on experience + BONUS + BENEFITS PACKAGE + 25 DAYS HOLIDAYS PERMANENT - MONDAY TO FRIDAY SOUTHAMPTON Company My client is a leading specialist provider within the HVAC industry and due to expansion they are seeking an Internal Sales Engineer to join their successful growing team. The company covers nationally and specialise in; service, maintenance, breakdown, supply and installation of refrigeration equipment, air conditioning systems, heating and ventilation systems. The company's projects range from basic unit sales to resellers, through to medium and larger complex design-install-turnkey client solutions into multi-sector end users including; food, beverage, automotive, defence, aerospace, education, pharma, chemical, as well as factories, commercial and office buildings via main contractors and engineering consultants. Role - Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be primarily responsible for working closely with the field based sales engineers to provide cost effective technical solutions to meet customer requirements. - Handling inbound sales enquiries with ranging technical demands. - Preparing quotations to meet customer specifications and requirements. - Selling the solution to the customer and providing technical advice. - Providing a professional response to customers in keeping with brand excellence. - Following up and closing quotations into sales orders. - Building relationships with new and existing external and internal customers. Requirements - Have a minimum of HNC in an engineering discipline. - Possess a good general engineering aptitude, used to dealing with practical problems. - Have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience OR have an extremely good personality and character traits ideally suited for selling. - Possess excellent interpersonal, communication skills along with strong numeric skills. - Be commercially aware, able to interface and negotiate with customers. - Be self-motivated and comfortable working on their own on occasion. - Be determined, resolute and resilient if sales opportunities are not won. - Have previous sales experience (preferred but not essential). - Have experience of the UK cooling industry (preferred but not essential). - Graduate applications welcomed but strictly must have engineering credentials. Must haves - Full drivers licence valid in UK. - Excellent English language fluency including engineering and technical terminology. - Good IT skills. - Ambition to develop into a further role.
