Title: Category Manager Day Rate: £375 Location: Leeds Contract Length: 6 months Vacancy Overview Our public sector client is looking for an experienced Category manager to lead a Government Procurement Card (GPC) contract. Key Duties and Responsibilities: -Managing the service, managing stakeholders, delivering against new ways of working and using the GPC. -Manage the GPC Contract (Government Procurement Card - finance category circa £14M per annum) and delivery against the category objectives -Assessing current strategies, cost data and commodity profiles and business needs, in order to convert gathered intelligence into a proposed strategy to leverage best possible value for assigned categories. -Taking ownership of assigned categories, engaging the customer in order to provide the major influence on strategy direction and delivering category benefits. -Leading change in introducing and embedding assigned categories within a challenging environment across. -Applying skills and endeavour to challenge existing boundaries where needed and overcome challenges in implementation. -Drives cost reduction, measures and reviews performance and implements continuous performance improvement, reporting of benefits realization of assigned categories with over-arching business requirements. -To facilitate the delivery of contractual arrangements and supporting structures required to deliver results on assigned categories. Candidate Overview -Clearance Level Required: BPSS (DS) -5+ years Commercial / Contract Manager experience. -Category Manager experience. -Stakeholder engagement. -Project Delivery -Business Acumen -Financial Services or use of Government Procurement Card. -MCIPS -PM qualifications (Prince 2 - advantageous but not essential) Please note that the deadline for applications is 6/10/2017 .
