As a result of this scale the business this are looking to speak to candidates at a Buying Manager level or to those Buyers looking to make a step up into a more off a leadership role. The commercial team is quite unique in how it is set up and operates and the results speak for themselves. The Buying team is responsible for all aspects of the product through the supply chain, merchandise planning and product cycle and this combined with the pace at which the business operates is challenging yet very rewarding. If you like owning your "mini empire" and being accountable for all aspects of your categories then this culture could suit you. As Category Manager you will be responsible for - Overseeing all buying activity - Creating and implementing commercial strategy - Managing a team of buyers and assistants, coaching, inspiring and leading to improve performance - Trading core range and implementing trend driven new products - Managing Supplier relationships to improve commercial terms and supplier performance The Successful candidate will; - Have a strong grounding in retail buying - Be considered business expert in their categories - Have understanding of managing multiple diverse categories - Be a great people manager, have experiencing managing diverse teams at different levels - Have strong grounding of merchandising and stock control - Be driven to achieve YOY growth across the whole business - Have the ambition to become Head of Buying within the business This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business and be influential in their growth plans whilst developing your own career at the same time.
