Data Quality Analyst

Location (Staines); Company transportation available to and from Staines Railway station every 10 minutes

Salary; Competitive + bonus and a competitive package

In this role you will be responsible data quality analysis to ensure data is fit for purpose to ensure smooth running. You will work with a variety of stakeholders, partnering with Insight and Business stakeholders regarding data quality issue analysis and reporting.

What will you be doing?

Providing leadership, coaching and supporting offshore Data Quality team on Lake/TD data investigations

  • You’ll be responsible for performing complex data discovery involving system, process and behavioral analysis of critical data items to identify improvement actions to uplift critical data items which enable customer and commercial outcomes
  • Developing automated data jobs for data cleaning, data validation and data mastership to protect and improve the data asset
  • Evolve and drive root cause resolution actions including the creation of business cases to secure investment plan funding
  • Responsible for providing the insight that enables the prioritisation via the governance process of data improvement actions
  • Leading data improvement plans for priority data issues with virtual teams that include IS, Customer Journeys and Data Stewards

The succesful candidate will have/be

  • A Data Management expert with extensive knowledge of Data Management practices and processes (incl. Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality Methodology)
  • Knowledge and hands on experience SAS Data Management (Dataflux) or equivalent enterprise class data quality tool
  • Experience in SQL and Excel a must
  • Experience of SAS language and SAS Data Integration an advantage
  • Experience of relational and non-relational databases;
  • Experience of operating in Big Data Platforms and using multiple languages (e.g. HQL, Spark, Git, Python, HDFS, Hadoop, Hive, Map Reduce, Pig, Sqoop, etc...) would be a key advantage
  • Experience of producing Data Analysis with a high level understanding of data quality within business processes and systems
  • Proficient data quality profiling, analysis and reporting skills with a passion to discover data patterns and create engaging data visualisations from complex analysis to provide precise and clear insight to stakeholders
  • Knowledge of customer information technologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues to a range of audiences
  • The ability to get things done through others, without a direct reporting relationship
  • Proven project and change management skills, with experience in leading/driving continuous improvement activities
  • A resilient self-starter, with well rounded interpersonal skills (at all levels) and able to work in a matrix organisation
