2nd Line Support Engineer – Salford – Windows – Server – Networks – SQL

My client is an established industry leader providing services to thousands of clients across the UK. They are looking for a second line support engineer to joint them on a permanent basis, acting as the escalation point to the helpdesk team and reporting directly to the IT manager.

You would also hold responsibility for the supervision of the helpdesk team, determining personnel requirements, setting schedules and insuring that those under your supervision have adequate resources to complete their tasks.

This opportunity is perfect for somebody who is looking to progress their IT career towards the management route or somebody with strong communication and organisation skills.

The successful 2nd line Support Engineer will have the following skills/experience:
  • Strong communication skills with customers, internally and externally
  • Experience with Windows 10
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Servers up to 2012
  • Active Directory and Group Policy user administration
  • Hardware installation and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience of SQL would be beneficial
