About the role Reports to: Head of Systems Development The company is looking for a motivated SQL database developer to join a rapidly expanding and leading edge automotive data sector company. This is an interesting and varied role with exposure to a wide range of projects and technologies. Working as part of the database team, you will be responsible for designing, developing & maintaining efficient solutions in Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL, Integration Services, Reporting Services and related tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams so excellent team and communications skills at all levels is vital. You will be capable of working individually and as part of a wider team while taking pro-active ownership of support task and seeing them through to completion. Key attributes for the successful candidate would be a strong aptitude for learning and exploring possibilities, with a strong IT background that can be relied on to jump in and take on challenges. About you As a dynamic and creative thinker, you will demonstrate a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritisation to deliver work within timelines. You will have the ability to organise your time effectively, schedule tasks for completion and deliver high standards of work to that schedule. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task & prioritise work will be central to your success in this role. Required Skills - Good knowledge of T-SQL, SSIS (must have) - Proven knowledge of designing and developing console application using APIs (must have) - Creditable work experience in a database development - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Good attention to detail - Capable of reasoning and thinking through problems and developing desired solutions, independently or with others as required.
