Analyst Programmer/Developer - RPG/ILE - iSeries- Up to £40k ISeries/RPG Developer is required for a large established Financial Services organisation in Gloucester. The Client is looking for a talented IT developer to join their development team. You will be responsible for designing software to meet specified requirements as well as seeking out new ways to improve productivity. For this role the Client is seeking talented iSeries/RPG Developer who can work under pressure, and can demonstrate the ability to work well in a team as well as having good communication skills. Key responsibilities - Developing the delegated computer systems, sub-systems or suites of programs to meet the company's business requirements and IT's technical requirements within the agreed schedule. - Designing software to meet specified requirements. - Establishing great relationships so IT can continue to assist in business objectives and user requirements are clearly understood. - Seeking new ways to improve productivity - Supporting help desk queries and identifying problems which need immediate investigation or delegating where necessary to a Trainee Developers - Establishing and maintaining appreciation of new technological and software developments for the benefit of the department and wider company. Key competencies - iSeries/RPG/AS400 development - A broad understanding of systems in analysis - A Strong knowledge of RPGIV/ILE programming language - SQL Server Skills - A knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (desirable) This organisation is ranked among the top 20 insurance companies in Europe, with key markets in Europe and Asia, employing up to 13,000 employees.
