As a result we have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Deskside Support Technician to work within the IT operations department as part of a technology support team, providing IT and facilities support for Johnson & Johnson, one of the leading multinational healthcare providers.
This is a GCM2 level role with a base location in Pinewood. Some travel to other locations such as Maidenhead, High Wycombe and Sunbury will be required. Successful candidate needs to be based in proximity to one of the mentioned locations with regards to a requirement to join on call rota.

Ideal technical skills and experience required:
· Minimum 12+ months experience in a 2nd Line Technical support environment (will also consider people with 1st line technical support experience looking to take the next step)
· Knowledge and understanding of Windows desktop operating systems
· Understanding of Windows Server Operating System and the ability to perform domain related administrative tasks in DRA
· Understanding and knowledge of LAN environments
· Understanding of data centres
· Intermediate knowledge of LAN based E-mail systems (e.g., Outlook, MS Exchange).
· Creativity and advanced problem solving skills that lead to effective solutions to complex and varied problems
· A demonstrated ability to encourage and model positive cross-team partnerships
· Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and analysis of PC hardware, PC operating systems and office automation software, with expert level knowledge in at least one area of specialization
· Ability to perform complex troubleshooting and analysis of network system devices and PC network hardware and client software.
