Are you a business analyst who is on the lookout for a new role smack bang in the centre of Leeds? Well read on as I may have the perfect thing for you. A client of mine in the financial sector are looking to add to their project delivery team. They have fantastic offices in a fantastic location, literally within a hop, skip and a jump of the train station. We are looking for someone with one to two years or so of experience working as a BA. Someone who has worked to analyse a range of issues, along the lines of business change, software and IT, and worked to come up with suitable solutions. In this role the projects you'll be looking at will be really varied, half the work will be project based and the other half will be focused on picking up ongoing issues from a queue and analysing and resolving them. You'll be working closely with the Head of Delivery who will brief you in on each piece of work and be there for support and guidance. One of the big projects you will be involved in is the complete build of a new in house system, it's going to have a lot of functionality so a big part of your role here will be focused around that. They will be building a new database as well as a new website so hopefully this gives you a good idea on the type of projects you'll get exposure too. You'll work in the project delivery team alongside other BA's and project managers and work closely with the software, IT and QA teams. Key areas of focus will be: Requirements gathering Investigating issues and finding the root cause Producing functional specifications Managing stakeholder relationships Focusing on As Is/To Be processes Documenting work and producing workflows Solve complex problems and suggest fix solutions UAT/Testing issues have been resolved You'll need to be a keen problem solver with a passion for this kind of stuff, there's a lot of learning potential in this role, including picking up some functional testing skills and learning fairly advanced SQL querying skills. The projects are completely varied so you'll be working with people across the whole business, because of this you'll need really strong communication skills and be confident talking to a variety of people. We're open to hearing from anyone with the above experience, if you have a software, IT or financial background this will really make you stand out. Perhaps you are an ex developer or tester who's moved into more of an analytical role? To apply please send across your CV, if you have any questions please contact Becca Woods - Chassam Recruitment - this really is a fantastic opportunity and one not to be missed!
