Our client is a very well-known and successful airline. They are now seeking an Assistant Powerplant Engineer to support their Engineering Powerplant team to ensure full compliance with the continuous airworthiness requirements of EASA Part M Sub Part G for all aircraft operated by the airline. An exciting opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of engineering activities, working with safety critical, high cost, technologically advanced equipment and systems, this is a rare chance for a graduate or aircraft engineer wishing to progress into an office-based role with great prospects for the future. This is a permanent role based in the south-east UK. Responsibilities: - Assisting with the safe, cost effective and efficient operation of engines and APUs on the airline's fleet, including the day to day operation of the Engine Health Monitoring programme - Assessing reports and suggesting corrective actions, you will also liaise with engine, auxiliary power unit OEM's and other suppliers as required. Ideal candidate profile: - Well-qualified, with a good Engineering degree or a similar industry-recognised qualification - Possesses a detailed theoretical knowledge of the operating cycle of aircraft engines, along with a basic understanding of aircraft maintenance programmes and reliability management. - Is familiar with the continuous airworthiness requirements of EASA Part M and the regulatory framework - Be able to demonstrate the ability to manage complex data and perform detailed analysis - Will have well-developed Excel skills. - An excellent communicator, able to build strong cross-functional relationships and credibility at all levels - A proactive, highly-organised individual with the ability to work effectively on your own initiative. - Willing to travel between the UK bases and supplier locations as required - Can demonstrate a strong work ethic, coupled with the tenacity and resilience required to flourish in a dynamic, constantly-evolving environment.
