Mechanically biased engineer (days) A position has opened up in the Engineering department of a well-established, Plymouth based Food Processing Company. The successful candidate will be multi-skilled, highly motivated and be able to work well as part of the existing team. In addition, it is essential that they are able to manage their own time and job lists in a cost effective and safety conscious manner. Duties: - Carry out both routine and reactive maintenance to all plant, equipment, services and buildings as required, to include fault finding and repairs - Assist in maintaining current PPM schedules - Assist with developing and implementing line improvements - Assist in bespoke projects and installations - Become an active member of the Health and Safety team, with a view to constantly furthering site standards - Effectively communicate machinery issues & timescales with both Production and Management team Essential skills: Must be a time served engineer with formal qualifications and should have a broad range of skills to include but not limited to; - Electrical fault finding - Machinery installation - Mechanical maintenance & repair - Bias towards heavy plant maintenance and repair - Must have a flexible approach to working hours, covering breakdowns and call outs when required. Desirable: - Experience of working in a Food Manufacturing environment - ONC/HNC in an engineering discipline - 17th edition IEE wiring regulations - Experience of ISO quality procedures - Experience of PPM software, Scada systems & PLC's
