Software Developer - C#, software - Cwmbran - £28,000 - £38,000 + Benefits A number of developers are required to join a leading software house that are a worldwide success, specializing in open-platform software for Digital Services Automation which lets network operators efficiently manage video, voice, and data on high-capacity digital networks. Above all, as a developer joining this team you will need to have a high aptitude and drive, as well as an ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly. Other requirements within this role will be to- - Write quality, well-engineered, unit tested, maintainable and readable code. - Implement unit tests and follow wherever possible a TDD approach. - Participate in product and architecture development and design. - Perform code reviews The developer must be able to comprehend complex issues and pro-actively propose solutions. The working environment is very dynamic, requiring constant updating of knowledge in both the technical and procedural aspects of the job. The ideal developer will have experience in a similar environment as well as - - A core competency in C#, related .NET frameworks, and other related technologies such as XML, service oriented development using WCF, and SQL. - Experience of applying core development practices such as Test Driven Development using frameworks such as NUnit, MSTest, Moq, etc. - A sponsor of applying design patterns and principles of software development such as SOLID. - Strong understanding of Object Oriented Design and Development - Awareness of emerging technologies such as HTML5, Microsoft WebAPI, and architectural patterns such as Single Page Applications. - Exposure to cloud, ideally Microsoft Azure (including Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities).
