Turbonomic is looking for a Customer Support Engineer to join our world class Customer Support Team located in our Reading UK campus. This is an opportunity to solve some of the most challenging problems faced by enterprise IT, today. You’ll support a revolutionary new Intelligent Workload Management software product that is unlike anything on the market today. You will be responsible for learning and troubleshooting the Turbonomic product suite for our customers, differentiating environmental and configuration related issues from product defects, and understanding how to manage complex virtualized infrastructure based on this unique and innovative technology.
What you'll be doing:Take ownership of customer issues and see problems through to resolutionResearch, diagnose, troubleshoot and identify solutions to resolve customer issuesReproduce customer environments and test and validate fixes and workaroundsAct as a liaison between customers, technical pre-sales, sales teams and the product development teamFollow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teamsProvide prompt and accurate feedback to customersEnsure proper recording and tracking of all issues in our ticketing system from open to resolutionDocument knowledge in the form of knowledge base tech notes and articlesWhat you'll bring: Experience in enterprise technical supportStrong knowledge of Linux systems and virtualization technologiesCloud Knowledge with Azure and AWSStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent customer-facing written and verbal communication skillsSelf-directed, eager to learn with a desire to work in a fast paced start-up environmentUnderstanding of object oriented architecture and model driven architecturesExperience working with complex multi-threaded applicationsKnowledge of virtualization management is a huge plusBS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent preferred but not essential
