PCB Technician Salary: £20000 - £22000 + Benefits Our client specialises in the design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and servicing of high quality fixed gas detection instruments and gas monitoring systems, to a wide range of industries. Due to increased business volume, our client requires an additional experienced PCB Technician to compliment the existing team of professionals. Duties & Responsibilities: Assemble sensors in accordance with agreed procedures. Populate and programme PCB assemblies for sensors and associated instrumentation. Test sensors and associated instrumentation. Issue serial numbers to sensors and associated PCB's and record all serial numbers issued together with application information for sensors. Record the results of tests carried out on sensors and instrumentation. Conduct temperature profiling of sensors. Modify test sensors for non-standard applications and record all aspects of the procedure followed. Advise the Engineering Manager on any modifications to procedures, materials, circuitry, etc, required to improve the performance of the sensors and related instrumentation. Investigate, repair and retest any failed units of other units returned from customers for repair. Keep a log of the time spent on each project. Assist in the production and testing of systems when requested. Ensure that all tools and equipment provided by the company are maintained in good condition and working order. To ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance with ongoing levels of training and company working practices and that standard products comply with the Product Manuals. Follow the procedures of the Quality Manual at all times. Notify the Quality Manager of any improvements in operating practices which may improve the quality of products or systems. The Person: The ideal candidate will have experience of working with electronics and will be capable of satisfying the above duties. Experienced in the use of hand tools and soldering equipment. You must have a keen eye for detail and be conscientious in your daily duties. Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am - 3:30pm Fridays.39.5-hour working week (Half an hour lunch break).
