Job Title: Marketing Manager Location: Poole Salary: Depending on experience We are looking for is someone who has marketed products and has a track record of instigating successful campaigns. Our client have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to take ownership of maximising top and bottom line financial growth for one of their core divisions. The successful candidate will have a track record of identifying growth opportunities through internal/external analyses, acting on them, and implementing successful direct marketing activity across multiple areas including, but not limited to: - Email Marketing - Customer Targeted Marketing Activity - Page Advertising - Product Development - Merchandising Development - E-Commerce Activity Responsibilities: - Drive divisional marketing plans and performance relative to targets and prior year figures - Identify and improve under-performing areas - Further capitalise on growth areas - Propose how best to improve profitability and ROI for their division - Interrogate weekly and monthly financial performance reports, utilising additional internal and external data sources to objectively propose logical marketing activity as part of the ongoing marketing plans. - Take ownership of maintaining gross margins for the division. - Ensure marketing activity recruits sufficient new customers and retains existing customers within acceptable levels of marketing spend. - Drive targeted prospect and niche customer activity based on in depth customer analysis. - Ensure new ideas and concepts are regularly tested or trialled in marketing activity. - Respond to topical opportunities and changes in the competitive landscape instantly. - Work with PPC and digital team to constantly analyse/improve online performance and ensure online spend is utilised as profitably as possible. - Work with Marketing Executive to ensure actions are executed promptly and that the division is always moving forward. - Ensure all online content and merchandising is presented to the customer to the highest standard. - Work with product development team to ensure constant new product introductions and merchandising changes, based on objective analysis. - Work with key stakeholders in the marketing and finance department to set divisional budgets and marketing plans for the next financial year - Ensure that all marketing activity is thoroughly communicated to Sales and Operations functions - Assist Sales department with product queries from customers when required Candidate Specification: - Proven track record of successfully marketing products and proposing effective marketing activity based on analysis and action. - Strongly action and results orientated. - Strong commercial acumen, can think logically with a focus on core direct marketing metrics. - Objective - uses hard numbers to justify proposals or monitor performance. - Able to multi-task within a dynamic environment. - Inquisitive and able to constantly ask whether something could be improved or what the next opportunity is. - Proactive and driven. - Ecommerce or direct marketing background is preferable, especially if within B2B environments. - Experience of marketing physical products is preferable. - Excellent analytical ability and skills - strong user of MS Excel and preferably analytical tools such as Google Analytics or similar. - Balanced between seeing the bigger picture but being able to 'get things done'. - Excellent communication skills with the confidence to ask questions This could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Marketing Executive with a proven track record of instigating successful marketing campaigns looking to step up into a Management role.
