Payments Integration & Strategy Manager A fantastic opportunity has become available in Edinburgh for a reputable Financial Services organisation. They are looking for a driven and focused Payments Manager who is looking for progression and development in a permanent role. In this role some of the responsibilities include leading and owning the development of the strategy and integration of capability to optimise the payments offering for all customers, adapting to market and regulatory changes, to transform their customer payments journeys. The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Putting customers at the heart of payment journeys and ensuring compliance with regulatory / scheme requirements. - Providing payments subject matter expertise to internal / external stakeholders and supporting project delivery. - Working with Commercial Teams, Financial Crime, Credit Risk, CIO & other stakeholders to optimise the customer journey and payment flows; balancing a frictionless experience with compliance and need for appropriate controls. - Understanding factors influencing payments and working with Innovation & CIO teams to develop coherent plans. - Reviewing regulatory and scheme publications; responding to payments Consultations and Information Requests; and initiating and supporting resultant business / IT change to deliver mandated requirements and strategic initiatives. - Working with stakeholders to champion business requirements and assess options and risks. - Protecting and transforming the customer journey, embracing new technologies and payment forms as required. - Ensuring operational risks are understood and effective controls in place in line with the Risk & Control Framework. - Working with other Payment Managers and other commercial colleagues to share experience/knowledge; co-ordinate and influence payments strategy development and improve understanding of payment performance and opportunities. Key skills required: - Excellent payments knowledge - understanding of end to end payment journeys & market developments. - Knowledge of payment regulations and scheme rules, with a proven ability to review and interpret Regulatory & Scheme documentation to inform required changes. - Past strategy development / co-ordination experience. Demonstrable record of initiative / project delivery. - Strong leadership - ability to influence & drive change. - Strong customer focus, driven to improve service. - Strong stakeholder management & communication. - Strong levels of initiative and self-drive. - Ability to effectively collaborate across multiple areas. - Ability to plan & prioritise multiple projects / workload and be resilient in times of change.
