Tooling Engineer (Press Tools) - Automotive Birmingham / Hungary £30 Ltd 12 Month Contract My client provides bespoke design and manufacturing solutions to the Automotive sector. With 10 years of constant growth behind them, and an impressive pipeline of future business secured with major OEM's, my client is looking to add some experienced contract resource into their team to enable them to continue meeting their customer needs and expectations. You will be involved in large projects to deliver bespoke solutions, meeting the client's needs internationally. The Tools are made in China, tested at speed, and tweaked to make them as goods as possible. Once that process is finished the Tool is bolt checked, packaged and put on a boat to Europe. Once it has arrived, you would be responsible for Commissioning the Tool, this would include: - Extract the Tool from its box, do a thorough visual check - is anything obviously wrong with the part, has anything broken in transit, has the material maintained it shape etc. - Check all the measurements are still correct, look for any warping's etc. - Check for any snags whilst it is running, de-bug if possible, send it off to be fixed if it's a serious problem. - Commissioning it - test it - make sure it runs ok - is it accurate? - Run it, make it run at speed - producing 2000 parts per hour - Are the parts if producing correct, what level of defects are you getting? - Document everything, and complete reports Skills required: - Experienced Tolling Engineer with a background in Press Tools - Automotive industry expert - Someone who can co-ordinate and organise a team - Technical skilled and able to get the tool working if there's an issue, solve it. - Fully skilled Toolmaker minimum 15 years' experience The company will offer the successful candidate: - A competitive rate - Realistic scope for contract extension To apply to this vacancy or to enquire about any other of the opportunities ATA has to offer please call ************ and ask for Robert Weatherhead.
