Location: Leatherhead, with some infrequent travel required £23-28k Internal Communications Assistant / Associate Specialist, Communications Responsible for the delivery of some of the most complex and large scale Government programmes, KBR's Government Services division is an exciting place to be right now. From delivering projects for the UK military in the remotest regions of Afgha nistan and Iraq; to delivering the world's largest transport infrastructure programme, the Qatar Expressway - we are ready to take on any challenge wherever our customers need us. A new role has arisen within the Government Services communications team, working from its UK Headquarters in Leatherhead. Aims Continually improving internal communications function and increasing employee engagement Communicating key milestones on projects and sharing successes Managing Town Halls, lunch & learns, key internal events Promoting the EMEA region across the wider KBR business using all available internal communications channels Responsibilities will include: - Responsible for writing and disseminating internal communications to GS EMEA employees - Maintain regular flow of communications with GS EMEA employees on key developments within the business - Manage the production of the newsletter SitRep for GS EMEA - Generate interesting internal news stories to share with employees and to act as the point of contact for GS EMEA projects - Respond to requests for information, often received at short notice by phone or email. - Provide support in managing KBRs presence at events - To engage with employees and seek feedback on the most appropriate internal communications channels - Prepare communications for publishing on KBR websites and KBR intranet - Develop content for social media platforms including the company's UK LinkedIn page - Support the Regional Director of Communications in communicating ongoing corporate developments and initiatives impacting on the business - Increase employee engagement through internal campaigns and Town Halls Driving transformational change across the business and supporting new channels for sharing information - Present a clear vision of the business for the future - Managing office branding, displays, policies and behaviours Qualifications Experience Essential A wide-ranging understanding of communications disciplines Experience of working within a communications environment Good writing skills Desirable Knowledge of a public policy environment, the defence and criminal justice sectors Knowledge of web publishing, survey monkey, web based applications The Communications Assistant will also provide support to the Regional Director of communications and the GS EMEA Marketing Manager as required.
