NHS Contracts Officer in the Bradford area Taskmaster are currently seeking a Contracts Officer for an NHS client in the BD20 area. Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Rates of Pay: £9.31 - £9.95 per hour. The role is for 12 months initially, with the possibility of extension after this time. Job purpose: - Identifies areas of opportunities leading the development of the identified opportunities. - Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Purchasing Section. - Identifies contract opportunities, managing the tender process including specification development through negotiation with key suppliers. Duties to include: - Works with managers/budget holders in the identification of saving opportunities. - To assist the Assistant Contracts Manager in providing a shared supplies service between Trusts. - Assist the Assistant Contracts Manager in ensuring the delivery of a professional Supplies service. - Develop in conjunction with the Contracts Manager an effective strategic planning framework by incorporating/developing all Trust's procurement strategies. - To track current savings performance, reporting back to the Assistant Contracts Manager accordingly. - Assist in providing a quarterly reports to the Contracts Manager detailing performance against key financial and operational objectives. - To ensure that orders for goods and services are placed in a timely manner in accordance with Trust procedures.
