Debt Recovery Assistant Bradford, BD1 £18,000 - £23,000 An excellent opportunity is available for an ambitious Debt Recovery Assistant to join an ambitious law firm based in central Bradford. Reporting directly to the Debt Recovery Manager, the successful candidate will assist the debt recovery team in dealing with matters in a quick and efficient manner, continuing to provide a first class Debt Recovery Service to clients. Duties are varied and include the following: * Dealing with clients/debtors, via telephone, email and letter * Running monthly and weekly reports utilising the firm's computerised reporting system * Taking incoming calls from clients, dealing with queries and relaying back to the appropriate fee earners as necessary * Dealing with a large caseload in an efficient and timely manner, sharing information appropriately with other team members. * Deal with new client instructions/ opening and closing files * Carrying out credit checks on individuals and companies in line with due diligence procedures. * Negotiating and drafting repayment plans, while remaining within the limitations of professional protocols. * Liaising with clients for instructions * Monitoring payments in line with agreed payment plan. * Advising clients of prospect of recovery and carrying out enforcement checks. * Preparing and sending out letters of demand, following matters through to court proceedings and enforcement. * Respond to clients enquiries regarding outstanding payments on their accounts by checking case management system. * Organising and attend team meetings. * Providing Fee Earners/ HOD's with ad hoc reports. * Assisting other fee others with litigated matters as required and as the job demands. * Attending Court Hearings * Filing matters/correspondence on a timely basis I am keen to speak to candidates with 2+ year's debt recovery experience within the professional services sector, with knowledge of court proceedings.
