Role: Civil Infrastructure Engineer (Roads & Drainage) Location: Central Birmingham Salary: £28 - 38k An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Infrastructure Engineer with experience within Roads and Drainage design for a role in central Birmingham. I am looking for an experienced Civil Engineer within Roads & Drainage to work on a mixture of high profile projects including small to large residential schemes (traditional & high rise), education, retail, health and commercial projects. You will have the opportunity to work alongside chartered engineers on developments up to 300 plots, on the Roads & Sewers design for some of the UK's biggest house builders, Commercial developments and Highways schemes. You will be joining a consultancy who specialise in Civil & Structural Engineering. Due to expansion they are looking to now appoint a lead Civil Engineer for the Birminghamr office. You will have the opportunity to lead projects with the assistance (if necessary) of the AD and Director to deliver road and drainage design for a mixture of Residnetial, Commercial and Industrial developments. Requirements *A BEng or similar technical qualification/experience, with relevant knowledge gained in a design office environment. Ideally 5 + years. *Excellent analysis and technical design skills in AutoCAD, WinDES and Civils 3D. Desirables *Excellent experience in residential estate design *Experience of Section 104, 278 and 38 highway adoption projects *Experience of applying highway standards and have a knowledge of drainage and pavement design *Experience preparing drainage strategies on greenfield and brownfield schemes *Experience preparing Flood Risk Assessments & Liaising with the LLFA and EA. *Working knowledge of earthwork analysis calculations on residential schemes and operations.
