This exciting new position in homecare nurse team management is to provide managerial responsibility of homecare nursing services across the Southern region The role will include Co-Ordination and management of the nursing rota and proactive nurse recruitment to ensure patient needs are met. Patient care is at the centre of this growing community based healthcare organisation and therefore the nurse manager must be have an up to date knowledge of the therapies they offer including home parenteral nutrition and IV infusions, in addition the lead nurse must be able to manage and run account review meetings and actively take part in account management. Essential Duties & Responsibilities " Nurse rota co ordination and management " Patient management " Staff training and development " Staff supervision " Key customer relationship management " Organization and co ordination of staff meetings " Recruitment of homecare nurses to meet patient demands and customer needs " Incident management " On call for pumps " PMP accountability for self and team " Liaison with customers for new patients and or services. Essential skills for this role include people management experience and current clinical skills with a passion for correct clinical procedure, suitable candidates will probably be working as a Sister (perhaps in ITU/Critical Care or on an Intestinal Failure Unit or in Nutrition), working as a senior homecare nurse or perhaps as a practice nurse or in a nursing agency. Looking after key accounts including those in London, Oxford, Reading, Southampton & Portsmouth you will work closely with the sales team to develop accounts in addition to co-ordinating with the operations team to manage patient referrals. In addition the following core attributes will be required: Education " Nursing qualification essential RGN RN Adult/Child branch at diploma or degree level. " Any additional nursing qualifications e.g.: ENB certificates further education in clinical practice. Experience " Nursing experience caring for patients with critical long term conditions. " Homecare/community experience vital. " Minimum of 5 years post registration essential " Advanced knowledge of IV Therapy required for the role.
