Baltic Recruitment Commercial Team are currently looking to recruit an IT Apprenticeship Assessor for a highly successful company based in Co.Durham. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding Training Provider. The role provides an opportunity to be involved in a unique delivery model that is innovative, forward thinking and incredibly relevant. Our client is an IT Training provider who use up to date technologies to provide a training and assessment delivery model that provides regular and structured contact with learners which allows them to provide support, feedback and chart progression in a convenient and familiar setting with minimal disruption to all parties involved. The main purpose of the role is to provide assessment for apprenticeship learners and pastoral care. Using an On Line Live delivery model the process is unique and will not involve UK travel. The role is also fully supported by an efficient team and will not involve marking paperwork, inductions and training. IT Apprenticeship Assessor Main duties & responsibilities: - To support an agreed group of learners to achieve advanced apprenticeships through action planning, assessment feedback and portfolio building. Caseload will be a mix of IT, SMDM and Software Development. - To meet internally set deadlines for quality assurance checks. - To carry out virtual assessments and occasionally work based assessments in accordance with the programme schedule. - To make monthly contact (Level 3), bi-monthly contact (Level 4) completing a review or FAP using on line live delivery methods including webinar, skype, and telephone contact. - To coach and mentor the learners to provide feedback and support to learners and review the action plans to maximise their potential. - To keep and maintain accurate records of assessment in accordance with service and awarding body requirements - To attend standardisation meetings as required by quality assurance or centre coordinator and keep him/her informed of learner's progress - To support the promotion and growth of apprenticeships throughout the programmes. IT Apprenticeship Applicants: - This post is subject to a check being carried out at an ENHANCED level by the Criminal Records Bureau regarding any previous criminal record. - Applicants should be able to show and prove professional competence in the ICT sector. Applicants may have previous experience in IT, Social Media, Digital Marketing or Software Development. - Applicants must hold the A1 Assessor Award, or be working toward the new TAQA Assessor Award or be willing to work toward the new TAQA Assessor Award - Hold a Full UK Licence and own transport The role is office based in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham and will only involve minimal travel.
