Overview of the position Our pioneering world class and award winning organisation is looking for an experienced 'Transport and design product Engineer'. To help lead and deliver a major Alacatel / Nokia Ethernet system. Role: You will be responsible to help get off the ground this major upgrade of our client's Metro Ethernet system. This is a high visibility Project and you will also be mentoring our clients existing team and advising on best practice and design. There will be plenty of interface with the supplies and the client needs you to be able to get the best outcome here and not be afraid to challenge and push back. You will be looking after the system and will be heading up the operations with the aim in 6-12 months time of handing this fully over to the client. Essential role requirements: - 7-10 years as a Transport and Design Engineer - Excellent Alcatel / Nokia transport experience - Excellent Metro Ethernet products - 4-5 end to end Projects where you have delivered Ethernet systems - Excellent ISAMS equipment knowledge - Huawei experience desirable too Personal requirements: - Willing to relocate Monday to Friday for 6-12 months to one of the British Crown dependent Islands off the UK mainland. - Will be used to working in a fast paced and changing environment - Will be a flexible team player and yet able to take the lead when required. - Have a strong positive attitude and excellent rapport and people skills at all levels.
