REGIONAL ACCOUNTANT - EMEA EGHAM HIGHLY COMPETITIVE SALARY AND BENEFITS PACKING JOB PURPOSE FOR REGIONAL ACCOUNTANT The primary responsibility is to support the Regional Accounting Manager - EMEA in the production and review of regional accounting and reporting. ACCOUNTABILITIES REGIONAL ACCOUNTANT - Produce monthly financial statements for EMEA entities based on data received from local accounting staff / external accountants. - Check, prepare, upload information from local TBs into Oracle. - Preparation of documentation and back-up to support all intra-EMEA intercompany transactions. - Reconciliation of intercompany accounts across all regions / countries. - Preparation of foreign currency journals and revaluations. - Production of monthly branch reports for all countries. - Prepare monthly cost variance analysis for each country. - Provide assistance to local accounting staff with basic accounting issues. - Develop and maintain good working relationships with our local accounting staff and, where applicable, external accounting firms. - Additional projects or duties as the management may at times require. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Possess a firm understanding of basic accounting concepts with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, with 2 years in a multi-currency accounting environment. - Ideally has a basic accounting qualification or is studying towards an accounting qualification. - Fully appreciates foreign currency transactions and is able to deal with the appropriate processing thereof. - High level of computer literacy particularly in Excel. - Highly organised and accurate, able to work under pressure and maintain extensive attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Able to work under own initiative and as member of a team.
