Duties and responsibilities: - Review and identify current manufacturing processes that would benefit from Automation. - Perform studies to determine the feasibility, cost implications and performance benefits of new automation equipment. - Design & develop automated solutions using mechanical, electronical and computer technology processes. - Source equipment and components, automated machinery assemblers and liaise with manufacturing and supply chain departments. - Design customised tooling and jigging to operate in conjunction with the automated solution. - Project manage the build & commissioning of the automated solution and hand over to Production. - Ensure all support documentation (user manuals, troubleshooting manuals, training manuals, etc.) are created and maintained. profile: - Must have a sense of intellectual curiosity and a willingness for learning. - Is self-driven, actively looks for ways to contribute, and knows how to get things done. - Has a strong sense of engineering skill, takes pride in the automation methods that get installed. - Believes that good product development includes testing, documentation, and collaboration. - Has excellent communication and reasoning skills, including the ability to make a strong case for technology choices to all levels of management if and when required. - Experience of jigs and fixtures would be beneficial in the design and development of special tooling. - Hold a degree or equivalent level qualification in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Integrated Engineering. - Previous experience of 3D CAD software - Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems - Knowledge of robotic automation Matchtech acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers and is part of Gattaca Plc.
