My client are a world leading software company, providing geospatial software and services to a tier 1client base within the UK and Ireland. We are currently looking to recruit a GIS Project Manager to the Professional Services team, working predominately within the Government sector (mostly London based). RESPONSIBILITIES This role is primarily responsible for the successful planning and delivery of Professional Services projects. Strong communication skills, good commercial awareness, attention to detail and an ability to build strong customer relationships are all essential. Typical work activities would include: * Managing and leading internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects * Supporting customer engagement and the development of PS opportunities * Defining and agreeing project work-plans, project deliverables and resource requirements * Managing change requests; agreeing and adjusting delivery as needed * Managing end-to-end project engagement with customers, including acceptance and sign-off * Monitoring risks and issues and managing as appropriate * Internal and external stakeholder communication * Responsibility for financial management of nominated PS projects You would be expected to have significant experience and understanding of the GIS industry and thorough knowledge of project management and Agile methodologies. Proven experience of leading and motivating teams and of building positive relationships with a diverse range of customer is also important.
