We are recruiting for a Commercial Accountant – known internally as “Site Controller – Frames”, to sit within our Supply Chain function based in our Nottingham Support Office.





Specsavers provides almost 20m frames a year to its UK customers through more than 700 stores. Each combination of prescription, frame choice and fitting is unique, so we have software in store to ensure accuracy, labs in most stores to cut lenses and eye-testing equipment from the world’s leading manufacturers. Uniquely, Specsavers own their own supply chain business so you will be at the heart of the business in terms of quality and provision of goods and services.





Accountable for the financial control of the UK and Ireland frame wholesale operation this role provides an opportunity to influence as a key Business Partner to the Director of Product Development globally. You will work collaboratively to identify opportunities in driving improvement in operational and financial performance and be responsible for the production, development and maintenance of all reporting and control requirements.





Essential skills and experience include:



  • Qualified CIMA/ACCA

Strong commercial acumen with proven experience of working within a supply chain environment
Excellent organisational and communication skills (both written and interpersonal) with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels & those that are non-finance based.
A proven track record of working to professional standards in a fast paced, dynamic and deadline driven environment
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Full driving licence and flexibility to travel regularly (including overnight)

Prior experience of the optical industry, frames and warehousing operations along with a working knowledge of Oracle would also be advantageous.
