We are delighted to be working in conjunction with our client a national professional services organisation, to recruit for the position of a System Support Analyst. This role can be based out of Aberdeen, Edinburgh or Glasgow working with our clients IT team to look after the financial systems. This role offers a competitive salary of up to 35,000. Key Responsibilities of this role include: - Providing technical support, development and configuration of the finance systems. Developing management reports and making data available to users on the system. Taking ownership and resolving incidents raised through the internal Helpdesk. Raising incidents or problems for all issues found. Regularly updating the Helpdesk incident logging system with incident and problem status. Ensuring all work adheres to implemented processes and best practices. Assisting in the implementation of new systems. Preparing Technical Documents i.e. installation documents and user guides. Working effectively with IT colleagues to deliver a quality service; Using technical expertise to develop solutions. Contributing to the development of the team. Building a rapport and maintaining effective communication with staff to support their needs. Escalating issues to key supplier support as necessary. To ensure that this role is carried our successfully, applicants should have the following key skills and experience: - Extensive knowledge of relational databases and an ability to work out the schema of databases in order to produce accurate reports. Strong SQL query skills. Experience of creating SSRS reports across multiple systems. Experience of working with BizTalk beneficial Ability to draft clear and comprehensive documentation to support technical implementation and administration processes. Experience and understanding of business issues that may affect the delivery of IT services Experience of providing support to end-users Experience of working in a flexible small team environment and establishing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues. Ability to communicate in a clear, courteous and professional manner
