Title: Finance Assistant Reporting to: Finance Controller Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant/Data Entry Temp to join their team ASAP at their office in Bristol for 2-3 months. The ideal candidate would also have Purchase Ledger experience. Main Objective: To support the smooth running of the purchase and sales ledgers (ensuring purchase invoices are processed and paid in accordance to payment terms and sales invoices are raised and cash collected).Liaison with: Suppliers, Customers, Finance team. Main responsibilities:* Ensure all supplier invoices are processed, authorised and paid in a timely manner.* Filing of invoices once they have been processed.* New supplier and customer set up on the accounting software.* Management of purchase requisitions (PR's), purchase orders (PO's) and good receipt notes (GRN's) ensuring all invoices have a receipted purchase order.* Reconciliation of supplier statements.* Maintain effective relationships with customers and suppliers.* Support sales ledger function when required.* Continuously drive process improvements. Person Specification: Qualifications:* GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above. * Degree (minimum 2ii) ideally in a financial related subject. Knowledge & Experience:* Experience of working within a Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger Function.* Experience of using Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).Skills & Competences* Confidence in communicating both internally and externally.* Good written English.* Understanding the importance of working to deadlines, along with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
