I am currently seeking an experienced Drug Safety Manager to join a world-leading Pharmaceutical company at their site in High Wycombe. The successful candidate will hold either a life sciences degree or equivalent nursing qualifications, and will have demonstrable pharmaceutical industry experience including time in a role of responsibility within Pharmacovigilance. Familiarity with the industry principles of pharmacovigilance, pharmacology and drug development is essential. The successful Drug Safety Manager will be entrusted with managing local Pharmacovigilance staff, and with acting on behalf of the Local Safety Officer in periods of their absence. You will be given the platform to supervise the collection, review and reporting of Adverse Events and pregnancy reports using a wide range of sources, and will be trusted to carry out initial quality review and assessment of individual cases on a local scale. There will also be the chance for you to demonstrate your knowledge as you write, review, validate and implement local operating procedures and guidelines. This role will also give you the opportunity to share your knowledge as you provide training on drug safety reporting and manage the local Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety team members, including providing them with coaching and feedback. As a successful candidate, you will be people-focused, and will make use of your excellent communication and relationship-building skills as you foster and maintain strong working relationships both within the business and with external customers. This will be a 5 month contract role initially and will be based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Also commutable from Maidenhead, Uxbridge, Aylsebury, Slough, Wokingham and Reading.
