With a headcount of more than 30,000 employees, Altran is present in more than 20 countries As a Switch D&R / Applications Engineer with Altran, you will be fundamental to our ability to deliver to our customers and clients. You will possess creative problem-solving skills in a team environment and comfortable with communicating clearly and efficiently throughout varying levels of both the customer and Altran businesses. Due to the nature of the assignments undertaken by Altran you will work in an environment that promotes autonomy and initiative, requiring a flexible attitude. Above all, you will have a desire to progress. Responsibilities: Switch D&R / Applications Engineer Manage switch families for Transit programs for current and future programs. Includes: instrument panel switches and indicators (passenger airbag deactivate), `hidden switches¿, global headlamp switch, power window and mirror adjust switches, door lock switch, and ignition switch. See attached for more detailed R&R Skills Required: Able to demonstrate excellent project management and co-ordination skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of component development (including mechanical functionality, and in some cases software development), control and tracking processes. Understanding of vehicle electrical schematics. Problem and issue analysis. Able to operate autonomously with minimal supervisory intervention. Actively drive issue resolution to conclusion Skills Preferred: - Experience of vehicle electrical network systems - Experience of Ford product development processes including GPDS - Experience of engineering processes and tools e.g. eFDVS, FTEP, FMA, FMEA, 8D, FMEA, FIP, ASAP, WERS - Demonstrated experience in automotive electrical/electronic systems Qualification and Education: - HND/HNC in engineering/ electrical preferred - Degree in electrical / electronic or electro-mechanical engineering
