Calibration Engineer / Standards Room Technician with recent experience of calibrating various torque equipment needed for a full time permanent position (M-F Days) in the Marston Green / Solihull area. Salary is negotiable (dependent on experience and qualifications). Applicants must have recent experience of calibrating various torque equipment, excellent communications skills and it would be beneficial to have previous customer facing / onsite experience. Package: - Negotiable salary (dependent on experience and qualifications). - 25 days holiday plus bank hols. - Company Pension. - Company sick pay (following a qualifying period) - Saturday hours at 1.5x and Sunday hours at 2x - Normal working hours 8:00am - 4:00pm (Mon - Thur) and 8:00am - 3:30pm (Fri) The successful Torque Calibration Engineer / Technician day to day duties will include: - To repair, maintain and calibrate a wide range of torque equipment such as wrenches, adjustable wrenches, screwdrivers, breakers etc. to in-house and traceable standards. - Liaising with customers - Managing co-ordination of equipment / assets. - Documenting and inputting data / results onto computerised calibration system (Indysoft) and producing quality written documents. - To follow company H&S guidelines. To be suitable for this Torque Calibration Engineer / Standards Room Technician role you must have the following experience / characteristics: - Recent experience of calibrating torque equipment. - Ideally will have completed a relevant engineering apprenticeship or be time served. - Relevant mechanical qualifications. - Excellent organisational skills, able to work under pressure and with the minimum of supervision. - Must be PC literate in MS Word and Excel - Must have good interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal) and be able to work with the minimum of supervision To be more suitable for this Torque Calibration Engineer / Technician role it would be more advantageous if you have the following experience / characteristics: - Experience of working onsite / in a customer facing role. - Dimensional / mechanical calibration experience. - Previously calibrated to UKAS standards. - Knowledge of importing / exporting from Excel databases and report generation from databases. - Worked in Aerospace or Automotive industry.
