The Role: Carry out DMU and package checks for all engine bay and underfloor components. The applicant will be responsible for package checking all relevant parts prior to production drawing release. This will involve checking that parts meet clearance standards, are fit for purpose and assembly. In periods prior to release continual package checking and reporting will be required. The applicant will also be expected to resolve issues by working cross functionally. The applicant must be fluent in Catia V5 DMU applications and assembly manipulation. They will also preferably have modelling skills to provide proposals for pipes, hoses and simple brackets. The role will also require PLM management through LCA for which previous experience is preferred but not essential as training can be provided. Fluent use of Microsoft Office is essential. The successful applicant will also be required to provide CAD support for DMU reviews, attend and contribute at meetings, keep regular contact with designers and communicate DMU issues though various mediums. Experience of products and systems would be a definite advantage. However automotive Powertrain, design and or packaging background is essential.
