IT Service Manager, ITIL, Service Desk, End User, Stakeholder, Implementation

This role is inside of IR35.

My client is a large Public Sector organisation looking for an ITSM Consultant who can work across the whole ITIL lifecycle to implement an ITSM software solution, whilst reviewing processes within ICT and cross-functional to deliver a first class ICT service.

You will work closely with various business areas to ensure that a successful solution is implemented. You will need to have an exceptional level of understanding of ITSM software implementation and ITIL process management.

This position is key for driving ICT forward in its vision to deliver a user driven ICT service desk. In this role, you will need to have an appreciation to hold technical and non-technical conversations with stakeholders. Along with this you will utilise your strong ITIL skills for conducting workshops and gathering requirements The ideal candidate will have;

  • Significant experience in delivering ITSM service management solutions
  • Previous service desk management experience across numerous organisations, Public and private sector.
  • Eliciting, understanding, challenging and translating the business need into requirements, creating appropriate processes.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst assisting in the implementation of ITSM tools would be advantageous.
  • Provide the link between the internal stakeholder, technical teams and any third party regarding software functionality, throughout the project lifecycle
  • Strong Stakeholder Management experience
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload effectively and work to tight deadlines
  • Ensure processes and workflows are documented and communicated
  • Excellent written skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong ITIL knowledge (particularly service transition and operations)
  • ITIL Practitioner or higher
  • Experience using Ivanti Heat Service Management software
  • Demonstrative experience in maintaining and using computerised systems and packages with the experience of overseeing technology programmes a distinct advantage
