I'm activley looking for a Magento Developer for a 3 month contract based in the SW. This client has been on the lookout for a permanent Developer however they have now decided to pursue a contractor. Please find the spec below: Key Responsibilities - Make changes and enhancements to the Magento site - Diagnose and resolve bugs in the application. - Liaise closely with Alexandra Marketing Website Owner. - Engage with other members of the IT team to get any necessary changes implemented in support of the Alex web developments. - Make changes and enhancements to the .Net site - Liaise and co-ordinate with the 3rd party developer around any proposed changes - Ensure all changes are tested and, where appropriate UAT'ed - Become the internal expert on the Alexandra website - Provide expert advice and guidance to the business - Mentor and teach a permanent but less experienced Developer once recruited. Education & qualifications - Magento Plus Certification is desirable Experience & Abilities - Strong PHP experience - Knowledge of Magento eCommerce platform 1 - JavaScript/JQQuery - Excellent MySQL knowledge - Attention to detail - Front-end Magento experience - Experience of automated deployment tools - Competent in web services integrations (REST/SOAP) - Git experience - Agile methods - Experience of writing complex custom integrations with 3rd party systems such as ERP and stock - Commercial awareness Skills - Analytical - Planning & Organising - Communication Personal Qualities - Customer focus - Must have a "can do" attitude and a thirst for using technology to solve business problems. - Flexible and adaptable in a rapidly changing organisational environment. - Ability to maintain a professional approach at all times, and to represent the IT department to a professional level.
