IT Project Manager

Our Client are seeking an IT Project Manager to run a range of of ICT projects within their informatics division. These include: Software and hardware infrastructure refresh projects; construction and refurbishment projects- in which ICT are required to provide the underlying infrastructure to support newly deployed clinical services; and development of new or upgraded clinical applications in conjunction with clinical service leads.
The Project Manager is required to provide overall management of projects using industry standard methods. This will rely on clear documentation and communication of complex project information in a technical domain as well as monitoring of progress and identification of risks, issues, concerns and appropriate escalation.
Being able to build strong relationships within IT and the wider working environment is mandatory and the role must also work closely with the informatics project office to ensure that the wider context is understood in relation to the national programme.
Days : Monday - Friday
Total Hours : 37.5 hours per week
Pay per hour - £13.59 - £18.20 per hour dependant on experience
Prince2 Project management ( practitioner)
Educated to degree level or equivalent level of work experience and knowledge
Evidence of continual professional development
ILM Level 3
ITIL V3 Foundation
ICT Related/ Technical qualification
Experience of planning and implementing technical ICT projects
Representing ICT at Project team and project board levels
Maintaining and developing project documentation
Demonstrable success in building leading and motivating virtual teams
Working with 3rd parties and other elements of an organisation to deliver ICT Projects
Windows server project delivery
Infrastructure project delivery, including new builds, network design and implementation
Accurate production of ICT costs
Interpreting requirements and documenting benefits
Ability to analyse and appropriately present often highly complex information
Sound judgement, decision making and organisational skills
Able to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills
Proven ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Self motivated and committed to developing self and team members
Ability to influence large groups of staff
To work on your own initiative
A broad range of IT skills
Ability to translate technical information to easily understandable language
Excellent organisational skills
advanced keyboard skills and application use
Up to date knowledge of ICT
High level concepts of large campus network design
WAN, LAN, WLAN
Newt work and data security
High level understanding of service management and service life cycle
Concepts of windows servers
Cyber security risks
Understanding of primary MS server applications such as SQL, Sharepoint, Exchange
Ability to influence at all levels and a strategic thinker
Collaborative in nature and willing to share information
Flexible and adaptable to meet all aspects of the work
