Design Engineer (Mechanical Design/Structural/Fabrication/Steel/) Burton Upon TrentVery Competitive Salary + Bonus + Contributory Pension + 31 Days' Holiday + Benefits. Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. Design Engineer required for a very successful international manufacturer in the Architectural industry. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company, that is currently heavily investing in the business and its people. They have won many awards for its training, innovation and product range. The Design Engineer will be from either a mechanical design or a civil/structural background. The successful candidate must have experience working on Solid works in order to design client specifications. It would be highly beneficial to have been involved in the fabrication process, and have used sheet metal design. The mechanical Design Engineer will work with steel products for the construction/architectural industry. They will design using SolidWorks. The work will involve modifying and designing customer queries, in order to produce technical drawings. This is an opportunity with a well-established multinational company that is currently experiencing a period of successful growth and as a result are rapidly expanding. The company is very supportive and able to offer on-going training through employment. The Design Engineers Key Responsibilities:* Ensure correct drawings are produced in accordance with the design.* Design using Solid works.* Meet client expectations by ensuring prompt reply to queries.* Ability to manage projects from start to finish. The Design Engineer:*Mechanical Project Engineer with experience on SolidWorks.*Mechanical design or a civil/structural background.*Able to work in a fast pace environment, on cradle to grave projects.*Beneficial to have worked on BOM, had involvement with fabrication or FEA. *Structural knowledge will be highly valued. *Experience working within construction/ Civils/ Architectural or similar is beneficial.
