Do you want to work for a company who can now offer you career progression? Morson International are recruiting a Junior Shift Technician to work for our manufacturing client based in Wolverhampton. As the Junior Shift Technician you will have the opportunity to ensure that all machines and equipment within the plant are running efficiently and effectively to reduce downtime and increase productivity. Principal Responsibilities / Accountabilities - To run as necessary all the plant and equipment within the company to a standard that allows customers' orders to be satisfied at all times. - To ensure the continuous running of machines by performing routine checks and activities on machines and ancillary equipment. - To assist colleagues with efficient and effective processing of machines by attending simple breakdowns of machinery and equipment. - To identify and implement efficiency improvements with a view of reducing waste material and factory downtime. - To support a range of machines and plant, as well as undertaking various projects and any other reasonable requests within the remit. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has recently completed an apprenticeship and is now looking for the next step in their career, or for someone who has held their first job in manufacturing and would like to move to a company who can offer a very rewarding development programme. This role will give you the opportunity to get your foot in the door with this very successful manufacturing company and will offer regular development reviews throughout the programme. In this role you will be working continental shifts, 4 on 4 off, 2 days, 2 nights. As the ideal candidate you will have gained experience of working within a manufacturing environment along with a Level 2 NVQ or equivalent in an engineering subject.
