It also produces the only licensed adjuvanted seasonal influenza vaccine. We are currently looking for the Engineering Technical Training Specialist. This role is responsible for identifying, creating, developing and execution of all training requirements for the Engineering function across all technical disciplines. The person in role will also provide technical support and expertise to support the administration of web based training systems, setting up courses that enable the teams to maintain the site cGMP and EHS Compliance. This role is also responsible for coordinating the progression of engineers through chartership with the relevant institutions. Engineering Technical Training Specialist Role overview: - Maintain training activities for the Engineering function, specifically cross training between engineering disciplines. Manage the engineering continuous professional development CPD framework to progress technical engineering associates to achieve chartership with their relevant engineering institutions. Ensure that all training related cGMP, GEP and EHS targets are reached against site targets. Develop a compliance culture within Engineering and escalating issues appropriately to ensure any out of compliance is appropriately reported and actioned. Ensure technicians complete all training sessions in a timely manner and complete annual refreshers. Actively promote a safety culture and expected behaviours. - Maintain SOP compliance for Engineers in all departments within Manufacturing and Utilities by analysing percentages and gaps of individuals and areas within the LMS system through OLAP and setting up and managing training courses and sessions and ensuring databases are maintained to track completion rates. - Help to develop cross discipline training modules for the identified tasks within Manufacturing and Engineering areas. Assist in gathering and evaluating evidence together with professional discussions to attain candidates to targeted training levels. - Attend site safety representatives on a monthly basis sharing any local safety learnings or concerns and escalating if required and embedding core requirements into the training modules. - Support the management of the apprentice and graduate recruitment schemes in conjunction with local colleges and universities. - Take an active part in Monthly Site Training Coordinators group meetings giving shared learnings and reacting as a group to any training requirements for the site as a whole and Global Corporate compliance. - Give direction when required for GMP compliance and required training. Profile: Education requirements - Engineering Discipline preferably to HNC/D level. Professional experience ideally gained in the bio/pharmaceutical, food or chemical industry with knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices and Statutory Requirements. Strong experience in application of LEAN management. Proven trainer experience within the engineering area; train the Trainer course. Chartered engineer status would be an advantage. The role holder must have well developed interpersonal and communication skills. Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure are also essential. A positive and proactive approach is needed to aid resolution issues.
