Our client is one of the UK's leading FMCG manufacturers where their products are found across major multiples globally. With an annual turnover of £180m they are a well-established & well respected local business that continues to grow. They are now in search of an Analyst Programmer to join their growing IT team.
The main purpose of the role is to establish and understand user requirements for change across all divisions of the business, and translate these into an agreed specification of requirements against which systems or changes can be developed.
Principal Accountabilities:•Design and program solutions to meet specific requirements of IT users across the business•To produce technical documentation and user manuals •Fully test viability of all functions and maintain them•Provide training for all new applications & processes•To support Helpdesk activities and proactively prevent problems and user issues•Fix and document/report any issues keeping any downtime to an absolute minimum•Assist IT Helpdesk in their support duties across the business •Maintain the operating procedures and documentation accurately and ensure compliance supporting any internal/external audits.•Server Scheduled tasks and maintenance of them•Working with the Chief Information Officer on any requirements he may have/assignments to carry out.
Key Competencies:·Project Management·Work On Own Initiative·Excellent oral and Written Communication Skills·Problem Solving and Analysis·Planning and Organisation
Skills / Competencies required:·Visual Basic (and VBA)·Access Development·SQL and Query·ITIL, SQL Server, Networking·Previous experience in a similar analytical role.
