JOB TITLE: Finance Manager

SALARY & BENEFITS: Salary depending on experience, contributory pension scheme, car + Private Healthcare

WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (Able to cover the core hours of 8am-5pm Monday to Friday along with the ability to work extended hours during peak seasonal periods)

THE COMPANY: Our client is a family run agricultural machinery dealership holding the John Deere franchise, alongside many others including JCB, Bailey Trailers, Kverneland, Opico, Martin Lishman, Dal-Bo, Horsch, Honda, Great Plains, Spearhead, Sumo, Stocks and Vapormatic.

THE ROLE: An exciting and important opportunity has arisen for a senior financial position, due to retirement. This is a key role, leading the finance function within a busy and expanding 5 depot Agricultural Dealership, based at Gonerby Moor, Grantham. The core purpose of the role would be to direct and control all financial activities of the organisation, including preparation of financial reports as well as summaries to support the current business plan and future growth strategies.
The successful Finance Manager will be required to supervise all day-to-day administration operations. You’ll also be responsible for the development, planning, organisation, implementation and coordination of all personnel policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities of a Finance Manager to include:-

• Maintaining accurate and complete accounting records for both statutory and management reporting purposes
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, Bank, VAT, budget reconciliations, income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders/partners/members, tax returns.
• Preparation of payroll information
• Liaising with HMRC, bankers, auditors and other stakeholders
• Credit control, stocktaking and payments to suppliers
• Oversees the accounting department, budget preparation and audit functions. Meets regularly with department heads to keep informed and to offer guidance.
• Maintains all confidential files (e.g. accounting records, personnel records, etc.)

THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate will have proven experience in financial management. The successful Finance Manager will have the ability to produce, analyse and interpret internal and external reports and data. They must be able to work confidently in a high pressure environment and be competent using standard Microsoft packages to advanced level. The candidates must have proven experience of people management; recruitment, training and mentoring skills.

Key experience for the role of Finance Manager based in Grantham, Lincolnshire:

• Must live within a commutable distance of Grantham, Lincolnshire.
• It is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of database and accounting application systems to supply the most accurate financial information.
• Must hold a recognised qualification in finance & accounting
• Excellent numerical, analytical, business planning, problem solving, communication, motivational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills.
• 3-5 years, experience in financial management with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted planning
• Knowledge of Ibcos Gold would also be beneficial.
