The Role

Key Function and Responsibility of the Role:

The main purpose of this role is to support the category Merchandise Manager in the planning and trading of the category, maximising both sales and profit potential whilst managing stock and considering potential risks. You need to be highly analytical and have a passion to succeed as the role requires a ‘Can do approach’ along with the need to take ‘Ownership’. You will provide the administrative support required for the category, along with performance analysis on your ranges identifying trends, opportunities and risks. You will also maintain supplier forecasts and work with other functions to support our customers in store.

Main Areas of Responsibility/Key Performance Indicators:

¾ Analysis and reporting on performance versus Business Plan KPIs

¾ Manage stock value and provide supplier forecasts to ensure supply is maintained.

¾ Support the Merchandise Manager with the execution of the category Trade Plan.

¾ Ensure all Promotional Ticket POS is briefed on time to support in store activity.

¾ Support our Store colleagues.

¾ Work with Buying/Supply Chain and Marketing to deliver new product launches on time.

¾ Provide Markdown analysis and proposals for exit lines.

¾ Support the wider Merchandising Team with any adhoc requirements.
